Swedish massage uses a sequence of 5 different techniques, working on different levels of the body tissues and muscles. As a result, the flow of blood and lymph through the body is improved, and toxins are removed more rapidly from the system. Muscular tensions are reduced, and ligaments and joints move more easily as adhesions are broken up. The skin becomes softer and more elastic. The heartbeat slows, breathing eases, and last but not least, a state of deep relaxation occurs. It is not unknown for clients to fall asleep!
